Wang J E, Xiang W. Transient water release and imbibition properties of remolded sliding zone soil of Huangtupo landslide in Three Gorges Reservoir area, China [Z]. "Global View of Engineering Geology and the Environment", International Symposium and 9th Asian Regional Conference of IAEG , Beijing: 2013:211-216. ABSTRACT: Because of the periodical water level variation of the Three Gorges Reservoir, the stabilities of wading landslides in this area are related closely to the variation of groundwater table and hydro-mechanical properties of sliding mass during the drying and wetting process, especially for the sliding zones which are the weakest parts in the landslides. A transient water release and imbibitions method is employed to test the soil water characteristic curve(SWCC), hydraulic conductivity function(HCF) and suction stress characteristic curve(SSCC) of remolded sliding zone soil of Huangtupo landslide in both drying and wetting paths. Test results indicate that matric suction, permeability and suction stress of sliding zone soils are related closely to the saturation, and the hydro-mechanical properties have obvious hysteresis between drying and wetting paths. The moisture condition and variation path of sliding zones should be adequately considered in the stability evaluation of wading landslides in the reservoir area. |
